Nissan has released a sneak peek of the 2020 Titan. The full-size pickup has not changed much from the previous year but has received some pleasing upgrades. The 2020 Nissan Titan upholds its tough truck exterior with a minor face lift as well as gaining some power under the hood. Because we all could use more power. The Titan has always been offered with a V8 engine that not only performs well but sounds amazing outfitted with a proper exhaust system. The 2020 Titan is no different. It will be offered with only one engine option for now, a 5.6L V8 catering to the true truck lovers. There will be 5 trim levels to choose from as well as King Cab and Crew Cab configurations. The best part? A five-year/100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty will accompany the Titan so you can do all of your favorite “truck stuff” with confidence.
The 2020 Nissan Titan will boast a powerful 5.6L V8. Unlike other manufacturers who offer 4 or 6-cylinder options, Nissan is keeping it simple. The V8 will produce 400 horsepower and supported with 413 lb-ft of torque to make sure all of your hardworking tasks are completed with ease. The engine has gained 10 horsepower from the previous year and is now backed up by a nine-speed transmission. Now with more gears the driver will experience effortless shifts and a smoother ride. It is also believed that the improved drivetrain will improve acceleration in the range of 50 mph to 70 mph. There is no word yet on fuel economy so we will have to wait patiently to find out.
Stepping into the interior, the cabin will be home to a standard 8.0-inch touchscreen entertainment system, available 9.0-inch touchscreen, and an informative instrument cluster with 7-inches of display. Paired with NissanConnect the 8.0-inch touchscreen will allow the driver to utilize Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Play your favorite music through an optional 12-speaker Fender speaker system reinforced by 485-watts of power. Don’t forget to look up and take notice of an all-new large panoramic sunroof.
Safety is largely considered when buying a modern vehicle. Nissan is well aware and has integrated some of the most desired and safest features in the industry. Standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 will let you drive in confidence with front and rear automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, rear-cross traffic alert, high beam assist, and lane departure warning. You will be able to also choose to add additional features such as driver alert monitor, adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera, and traffic sign recognition.
