FLUID SERVICES
Along with oil, your Nissan vehicle uses fluids to stay operating at peak performance and make driving a more comfortable experience. Without regularly scheduled fluid service, you may encounter worse performance, difficulty turning or stopping, and worse fuel efficiency. It can be hard to know when to service your vehicle, so we've included this page to help you see the importance of fluid service and when to schedule service.
Your windshield wiper fluid and wipers themselves help you see in any weather. In New England, the weather changes by the minute, and the last thing you want is to find out your windshield wiper fluid is empty. So whether you need more fluid, new wiper blades, or any other maintenance done out, technicians are ready to help.
Your Nissan uses fluid to help you handle your vehicle and reduces wear and tear on essential systems. Without power steering fluid, you may notice it is harder to turn your steering wheel, noisy steering, or a shaky steering wheel while riding. If you see any low power steering signs, it is an excellent time to schedule maintenance.
Like your power steering, your brakes use hydraulic fluid to make braking easier and reduce wear on your brakes. With low brake fluid, you may notice it takes longer to slow down or come to a complete stop, which can shorten your brake's lifespan and make it harder to avoid collisions.
To keep your engine from overheating, your engine uses coolant, which helps control oil temperatures and helps with fuel efficiency and emissions. If your Nissan's performance drops or you notice more emissions, it's important to schedule service before permanent damage occurs.
One of the often-overlooked aspects of car service is the differential gear. The fluid in your differential gear keeps the gears from grinding and getting damaged. Without maintenance, your differential gears take on much more wear and tear and, if without serviced, can leave your vehicle inoperable. If you hear grinding, rattling, or clanking coming from under your vehicle, you may have low differential fluid levels and should schedule service as soon as possible.
